Stoner, chasing another win.

After taking wins at Donington and Assen, Casey Stoner is looking to get a third consecutive win at the Sachsenring, Germany, and with the confidence he has gained with the Ducati GP8 from the last few rounds Stoner could be victorious.

Casey Stoner had a good race last year in Germany, but could only manage to finish fifth due his Bridgestone tyre not lasting the whole race distance, due to the Sachsenring being tough on the left hand side of the tyre. Loris Capirossi, Casey’s old team-mate, managed to finish second at last years grand prix, with Dani Pedrosa winning the race by 13 seconds.

Casey said: “I’m sure this (tyre) problem won’t happen again this year because Bridgestone have not stopped working and they continually bring us great new material.” Casey continued, “The bike has been perfect for the last two races and I expect it to go well at Sachsenring too.”

Stoner is now third in the championship, trailing Dani Pedrosa by 29 points and Valentino Rossi by 25 points. See the full MotoGP championship standings here.
